Good afternoon, bloggies!!! I'm excited to share that I have made a SECOND BATCH of almond milk! So, that goes to show you that the first batch was good enough to try again! I tried my first ever almond milk green smoothie this morning, and let me tell you, it was DI-VINE!
That's a tower of raw goodness if I've ever seen one. Smoothie of champions.
Ingredients:
1/2 C Almond Milk
1/2 Banana
1/4 C Pineapple
1/4 C Zucchini
1/4 C Cucumber
1/2 C Frozen Spinach
1 T Chia Seeds
1 Scoop Amazing Grass
LOVELY. Look how greeeeeen!!
See all of the chia babies in there!? If you want to feel good all day, make a green smoothie. The raw foodies swear by it- everyone I've ever seen that is a raw food lover makes green smoothies. Have you made yours yet? I'm still working on Brenton- we'll get him there... eventually. (muah hah hah....convert.....convert....)

you had me until "Amazing Grass"
Hahaha that's so Jerry McQuire. All Amazing Grass is is a green superfood powder. It's good for you! :o) Of course you wouldn't have to put it in and it would still be healthy.
lol, you and my mother would get along swimmingly. She has a bucket of this stuff in her house; I don't find it palatable...yet.
I am a huge fan of your crusade against processed foods, however, and LOVE the quinoa recipe you did a few days ago.
My gf just lost 30 pounds by working out 6x a week and limiting calories. After realizing I'd blimped up to 220 after graduating from Capital, I'm trying to find some healthier alternatives to foods that I cooked in culinary school.
That's fantastic! I hit a point like that too. My heaviest was right after graduating as well (what did they do to us there, right?!) and decided that I needed to make a change.
Oh, and the almond milk- GREAT on cereal and in smoothies. I don't drink it plain, but would if I mixed in a date or two and some vanilla extract. YUM!
